We had a lot of fun and children and teachers enjoyed the celebration a lot.
We had an exposition of objects at the Music room. During the week before we
asked parents and pupils to bring objects from other countries. Many pupils
brought them so we made an exposition that all the classes at school visited. We
decorated the school with small flags that represented all the countries that
are members of the EU. During the morning the pupils from the 6th course
completed the Se@EU quiz and the rest of classes had a talk about the EU and why
we celebrated this day at school. Each level made a star and in the star they
wrote a message. In the afternoon each level placed the star over the european
flag and read their messages.
Once the flag was completed with the 12 stars that had been brought by the
different classes at school we raised the flag and some students read a poem.
To end the celebration, teachers and students sang the european anthem and made
a dance.
In the attachment you have got the photos from the celebration.
Regarding the quiz, three classes at school completed it. We choose the oldest
students as the level of the quiz questions was a little bit high. The quiz
was then done by 75 students and the results were:
-none of the students had more than 20 questions well answered
-15% of the students had between 15 and 20 questions well answered
-70% of the students had between 10 and 15 questions well answered
-15% of the students had between 0 and 10 questions well answered.
