Brainstorm and discussion about the content of the first
period
o Different ages/ grades, different possibilities, different materials…. What shall we do?
o Brainstorm about ideas
o Discussion about the ideas
o Conclusion
We had a good brainstorm with different ideas.
We decide the next:
- Every school/class have got a brainstorm about: What means EU for us? Pupils make a word-web. We send it to each other before the end of October.
When we received all the brainstorms/ word-webs (on posters/paperwork) we compare the different
brainstorms.
Then we choose one subject to work out.
Possibilities are:
- What is EU doing in our country
- Energy environment: what can EU do to help different countries.
- Citizenship and rights of pupils
- Why is Brussel the capital of EU and which kind of people are working their?
Start-point is the thoughts of the pupils: What do they like to exchange with pupils of the partnerschools and what do they like to learn?
Every school makes a presentation (paperwork/posters) about the subject after the brainstorm.
Pupils can ask each other for more information by mail or think.com.
We send the work to each other at least before the end of January.
www.think.com in our third project-year:
o Appointments about the update/upgrade/ promotion of pupils
Annie will promote the pupils in the first week of October. After that every teacher who’s responsible for think.com make the list complete.
o Delete old students/ inactive students
As soon as possible.
o Appointments about the content of a website: (what do we expect from the pupils?)
Page 1: This is me (introduce yourself)
Page 2: My favourite …(sports, animals, cars, music, hobby …)
Page 3: My favourite …
Page 4: About my school/ class
Page 5: About my city/village/town
Page 6: Project-page: My favourite European country
Page 7: Project-page: My favourite European ….
Page 8: Project-page: …..
Page 9: Free
Page 10: Free
o Other appointments about www.think.com
How can we use the tool projects? We
didn’t use it
Pupils have to write English sentences with their pictures.
All the communication is in English!
Each sticky ends with: Se@EU!
Each school has got teachers who are responsible for the work
of the pupils and give them once or twice a year a appreciation of the work on
the website
When pupils/teacher didn’t use think.com for more than 120
days, their account will be delete.

4. Pupil mobility
Experiences with the organisation of the pupil mobility in
Spain
For all mobility in future we make the appointments that a host-family has to receive 2 pupils, so they can stay in couples with a host-family.
Thanks to Esther for her great work. It was very difficult in the beginning to find enough families, last week a lot of families like to be a host-family!
Thanks to all the host-families for their hospitality.
Reports of the pupils
q Nieuwegein
q Torrevieja
- Hendri makes a book of reports from pupils who visited Nieuwegein and also a book with the reports from the visit to Spain.
Each pupil makes a report of the visit. They have to make it on the computer, in Word for Windows. On each school there’s one teacher responsible for collecting the reports and send it by mail to Hendri:
Finland: Sami Belgium: Karine and Sophie
Poland: Monica Italy: Annie/Nunzia
Spain: Esther Netherlands: Liesbeth
Deadline: end of October.
Project meeting Finland
Each country tries to come with 2 or 4 pupils. The Finnish teachers try to let us more about the host-families as soon as possible (at least for the beginning of November)
