We are very happy that they will continue the project. It’s a pity that they can’t be with us.
Hendri tried to organize money, but when he can get the money, time was to short
for the organisation. Hendri reads the message from Erja en Timo and give
everybody their greetings. We really hope to meet them in Belgium in January! ·
Specific issues from or about the European Platform Every school is responsible for their own
deadlines! New applications must be send before first
of February in most countries. ·

Internet and e-mail
·
The se@EU website:
a suggestion: www.think.com (Demonstration
by Hendri) Hendri gived a demonstration of www.think.com.
This is a free internet environment. Some of us tried this environment. It’s easy for children to make their own
website with text, photo’s and more.
·
Discussion about this suggestion Everybody is enthusiast to use this
environment, our Se@EU platform. Hendri organized the difinite aply for it.
When their is moe news, you hear it from
him. When it is already, you can try it with
pupils. On our next meeting in January we make
definite appointments about it. We use this environment for the “more”
part.
·
Other suggestions Also teacher can use this environment.
Hendri tries to make a pupil and teacher part.
·
The task and possibility for teachers to
stimulate exchange of information and contact.
Teachers have to motivate pupils and
sometimes control the pages. 4.
The first year: “Se@ing each other” ·
The construction of this year: The
construction of a project-year with a theme/subject.
In the basic part all the pupils work together with the theme and make
materials: calendar, CD-rom, video, drawings etc. In part ‘more’ children
can work alone or together on their own level and plan their own
learning-process. We stimulate relationship, self responsibility, independent
work and reflection. ·
Brainstorm and discussion about the content of the ‘basic’ part The
first year: 2004 – 2005 ’Se@eing
each other’ ’Se@eing
each other’ means getting to know the other partner countries and
their traditions. This will be done by means of a calendar followed by
portfolio work. In the calendar we mean to include: art pictures made by pupils
and special days (national days, Christmas, Easter etc.), for example. The end products will include the
following: 2004 – 2005
- a calendar sent to each partner countries
-
portfolio work of each participating pupil about a topic of their own
choice, chosen
from a
subject of interest arisen from learning about the partner countries ·
Appointments and timeschedule about the ‘basic’ part Every school make a calendar with art pictures made by pupils with special days on it (National days, culture and tradition days etc. ) It’s free how to make the calendar, but it included: pictures
or art work on the front-site, on the backsite a few sentences about it. Pupils
must be curious about it and ask questions on the platform to other pupils. Every school send a calendar to the other school: 1x Rollegem, Belgium 1x Bellegem, Belgium 1x Poland 1x Finland 2x Italy (2 buildings) 1x Spain (maybe a new partner) 1x Holland The calendar must be send at least at 30 November ·
Brainstorm and discussion about the content of the ‘more’ part

Appointments and timeschedule about the ‘more’ part

Logo of the project ·
Is it nice to have our own logo? Yes,
it is. One pupil from Poland has made a beautiful logo.
·
Is it nice to organize a kind of match: Which
pupil can design a logo of the project? Every child have a change, so we organize
a match. ·
How can we organize it? Making appointments
about it. On every school pupils can design a logo. When their are more logo’s, you can
organize a election about it. Every school send the winning logo from
their school to Hendri, at least 15 November! Hendri collect the logo’s and send it
back. Then every school give points to the logo’s. Teachers or pupils can do
it, that’s up to the school. Before 5 december you can send the points to
Hendri. He let you know who’s the winner! (Maybe the winner can come to Belgium?!) 6.
2nd year: are we looking for other partners? ·
What’s the maximum number of partners? 6 ·
Are we looking for other partners? Yes, we are looking for an other partner,
because Romania can’t be our partner ·
Hendri and Dirk has got some suggestions of
schools in other countries We decided to invite ACEQUION school in
Torrevieja (Alicante) in Spain to join our cooperation. Dirk make contact with Miguel Angel, the
contact person. He asked them to start with the project
and come to Belgium by a priliminary vist. ·
Are there other suggestions? Communication ·
Specific remarks about communication and
e-mail till now Communication is good. Hendri make a list of teachers and send
also the e-mail about the project to the teachers who work in the project. Please make the list from Hendri complete! ·
Appointments about communication this year ·
Communication-magazines or newsletters from
the schools: is it nice to send it to each other? It’s nice to receive special information from partners, also you can give a remark when their is something special on the websites of the school! 8.
Pupil-mobility ·
Possibility for each country for
pupil-mobility It’s possible for the partners with a fund. ·
Possibility for Belgium to organize it Belgium starts the organisation as soon as possible. ·
Language-problems in Belgium? Pupils don’t speak English, but we think we have to do it, it’s one of our aims. ·
Appointments: Belgium starts with the organisation. They let you know the information about it. Before the end of November we have to know
everything about the pupil mobility, because then we can book the flights. When
it is possible, then we hear it earlier. 9.

Special wishes for the content of the meeting
and the programm ·
How can we organize the exchange of developments
of education and discussing about main sticking points or problems in the
schools for teachers and management (workshops, discussions, other suggestions?)
Brainstorm about themes We
can also give a presentation about things/ good ideas etc in the class or on our
work. In the next meeting we reserve 1 – 11/2 hour for this point.
Suggestion can be send to Hendri. ·
Are there possibilities to meet pupils,
parents, teachers, other people from the school (seeing each other) It’s
one of the aims!
10.
Other subjects to talk about ·
It’s nice to collect news in the
class from the different countries , by example about football-mathes, things
who are interessting for the pupils and collect by pupils. Every school can
