Dear friends, In this document you can read more about how to work with www.think.com About www.think.com On this moment there are only independent schools on www.think.com There are different countries who are members of this environment. For them a project like ours is new. They are very interested in how it can work, but there are start problems, by example about the names. One of them is the name of our school. Because I've sign the contracts, the name in the environment is now: Prinses Margrietschool Brinnr. 12OK. I don't like that name and ask them to change it in Se@EU. I hope they do that within a short time. Also you find our project only by the country Netherlands. When we talked everybody how it works, it's not a problem. Our pages are open for all the members (also for students and teachers from other countries) of think.com. I asked them to change that. I hear more about it in a short time. We can make it easier for ourself when we use codes. I tell more about it... Teacher account All of you have got a teacher account (I send it to you with Se@EU news nr. 2.) Some of you try this account! Great! (Thanks for the sticky's!) How does it work for the teachers and what can you do as a teacher? 1. Go to www.think.com 2. Login with your username and password 3. You see the beginning of your own page (when you visit it for the first time, you can read the rules of think.com) You can do different things: a) Change your password (do it after your first visit): you can do it on: my setup. b) You can create your own site: create here 4. You can also visit the Se@EU teacher-group (only for teachers) a) go to groups b) go to people and news c) go to teachers Se@EU and drop your messages 5. You have got administor right and can add your pupils: a) Click rigth above (under your name) on admin tools b) Click on manage accounts c) Click on add students d) Type the first and last name and fill in the grade. Do it on the next way!: By example: Marit van Aller, 4th grade, Prinses Margrietschool: First name: countryletters-firstname: NL-Marit Last name: lastname insertion Aller van Grade: primary class 4 Her username is: NLMARITA.SEAEU Her password is given by www.think.com When we all use this system, you can always see that these pupils are from our project and from which school/country they are!! We use the next countryletters: Belgium: BE Italy: IT Poland: PL Finland: FI Spain : ES Netherlands: NL e) When you have typed 10 names, you can click on create . f) You'll see a survey. Important: make a copy of the usernames and passwords! This is the only way to see them! (Tip/idea: copy them and stick it in a Word document!) 6. Look to the different pages from teachers and/or pupils: a People b School directory c You can see teachers and pupils 7. In the newsgroup for teachers we can drop interesting sites made by the pupils. We also can give each other information about the things we've done on www.think.com Pupil account 1. Go to www.think.com 2. Login with the loginname and password 3. Also pupils can change their password and create their own site. 4. Let's explore them the possibilities of www.think.com Sticky's Everybody can leave sticky's on the websites. For pupils it's difficult to recognize the sticky's from the members of the project. We can make the next appointments: You can recognize sticky's of members of the project on: · The countryletters from the names of the pupils · The greeting on the end: Se@EU! All the members of www.think.com have got the possibility to send en receive e-mails from each other. The system make automatic e-mail accounts.
